c'est la vie????
Large Outdoor Water Fountain

It's the best dog water fountain I've ever owned. My dog loves it too. He loves to step on the paw-shaped pedal to activate the fountain and drink from the fresh, flowing water. It's a great way to keep him cool and hydrated on hot days. The fountain is also very easy to use and maintain. It's simple to set up and connect to the garden hose. And the stainless steel braided hose is durable and chew-proof.Overall, I'm extremely happy, it?s a well-made, easy-to-use product that my dog loves. I highly recommend it to any other dog owner.

Corgi loves it

My corgi absolutely loves to play with this. The campground we stayed at had one and so we found this one to get at home for him. When he goes outside it?s the first thing he goes to and waits for you to turn on the water so he can play with it.

Works but will leak

Leaked as soon as it was hooked up. Had to take it apart and redo a few things.

Great dog toy

It looks like it?s solid. Once I figured out to take off the modern hose connection it works great. My old bulldog is learning new tricks

Best fountain for dogs

My dogs all love this fountain! Easy to learn how to use for pups and convenient, the only thing to watch is the water in the hose gets hot in direct sunlight so you have to be careful. I have had to replace every year do to rust and then the fountain won?t turn off

Great choice!

This product is better than I thought! The paw petal is big, good for my big grand-lab??. Great drinking fountain too, no flooded lawn it only has water when your pupper says so??. Great product, I'm glad I chose this one!

Dog gets fresh water on demand

This is the 2nd one we've bought. Our dog learned to get a cold drink anytime she wants. We've had 3 different dogs and they all love to get fresh water when they choose. First one eventually lost the paint on it but still works fine.

Happy dog

So far so good I have tried a few different water toys and he usually pops them quickly. This being metal does seem to have hope for him ? maybe not my yard but he likes it

Hose is not bite proof

My dog loves this but he bit a hole in the hose second time we used it. I don?t see a place to order replacement parts.

Doesn?t turn off.

Why only two stars? First, I genuinely love this idea and my dogs took to using it quickly, however, it continues to get stuck in the open position even when the pedal is not being pressed down. This contributes to a significant waste and loss of water which continues to flow after the dogs have finished drinking and have left. The point of getting this was for the dogs to have a on demand fresh water supply when they are outside so I don?t need to constantly check if their water bowl is clean or filled. But it is now at the expense of a higher water usage cost and an over watered and muddy grass edge by the concrete patio edge. If they could fix this I would give it 5 stars, but my current experience is only two stars.

Lasted a year

Had it just over a year. I?m split between 3 and 4 stars. Over time, I noticed it starting to stick. A second or two at first, then 5-10s. Now, I?ve caught it stuck on and flooding a fair amount like it?s been in over an hour or more. Going to try a different brand next, but I would probably buy again if I didn?t have options.

Giant Schnauzer approved!

My Giant Schnauzer will only drink from the faucet or spicket. This is the perfect helper outside so she can drink straight from the hose. She goes straight to it. It does eventually rust off but still sprays up, but she loves so nobody has to push it. We have purchased for all of our hoses.

Very happy with it.

We have one of the plastic models that has been working fine for two summers. Ordered another one that arrived with deteriorated, crumbling plastic.Order this one and it is sturdy and works very well.We have an unused shower in the basement, so the plastic one is installed there and this one outside. [Having one inside is wonderful, no water bowls to get spilled or to have to wash and fill every day.

Great IDEA, but not the best product.... now I'm looking again!

I purchased this product on 1 Nov 2024, so I've had it for almost 6 months. At first I just loved this product. It's pretty simple in design, probably something you could make yourself at home once y you find the appropriate water valve. The product page indicated it would come with a plastic two way splitter, and my first order did not come with one. It's a cheap plastic splitter, however, I returned the product and received a replacement that did properly come with the splitter. I don't expect it will last forever, however, it was important to me as I didn't have one and I didn't want to buy one until I had decided the product was going to work, my dogs were going to take to it and learn how to use it, so I figured I'd limp along on the plastic one for now.The product IDEA is an awesome one. I was tired of always changing my dog's outside water bowl after the water got dirty, and the idea of just letting the dogs always have fresh water on demand was a great idea! It takes a few days but I can't imagine any dog beyond the smallest bougie pets will have any problem. In my case, when I bought it, I had two 5 month old Black Mouth Curs, and my boy figured it out in a day. It's also fun to watch them finally "get" it! My girl took quite a bit longer, she spent the next week, waiting for my boy to get some water, at which point she'd run over to the watering spot and try to catch some as well. Sometimes she'd get there while he was still stepping on the switch, but most other times, she'd just miss it and spend some time licking the residual water. But in about a week to 10 days, I had her trying to step on it. She didn't always step with enough force because she'd come in from the side, so more often than not, her foot would land near the top of the top switch plate, nearest the hinge, which would require more stepping force and she'd not be rewarded with water. But, by about 10 days, and surely after seeing my boy use it like a BOSS :) she seemed to figure it out and the rest is history! This idea is just awesome. But I'm writing this review today because I've come back to Amazon looking for a "better quality" product. Unfortunately, at this price point, $36, whether you care about that amount of money or not, it's just too expensive for it's quality. For about a month now, the valve has had trouble closing. I've tried WD40, I've tried my favorite heavier film lubricant hoping it would last, but it seems that no matter how much I lube the valve's plunger post, within days it sticks and, at worst, it can take 8-15 seconds to close and completely shut off. Now that doesn't sound like long, but it's damn near the same time my dogs even use the product, so I'm doubling my water use right there! This is a great product IDEA, and this product isn't really a bad product but it should be better. The designers KNOW full well how it's going to be used, that it's going to be outside, and since the valve is between the metal plates, its' not like it's subject to a high amount of dirt and grime. In fact it sits right along side the back wall of my brick house, under the water spigot on a flat piece of decorative concrete to keep it out of the dirt and grass. The valve is not dirty, or gummed in any way that can be visibly seen or would be considered out of the ordinary. But the top plate presses down on a small vertical plunger into the valve and unless the gap between the plunger and housing can handle either keeping out water and debris, this result was probably to be expected. I don't know anything about the best sort of valves to use in this situation, but my experience tells me this could be better. Either better design or a better quality valve. So, that's that story, I'm again looking for something similar of better quality as my dogs use it like Bosses and I just love it and now can't envision any other way of providing outside water! I really can't say buy it or not, I'm glad I did, if for nothing else to see it in action and to get over the initial dog training.Hope that helps the manufacturer step up their game!I've attached a video. This is on 2 Dec 2024, so just at a month and BEFORE I moved the product up against the house when we had part of our yard penned off as a play and initial training area and to incorporate their outside potty area. I imagine from my previous explanation you'll be able to tell which is the boy and which the girl, but the orange collar is my girl, the black my boy.

I gave this 4/5 only because it needs to have the coupling at the device not be a threaded i terrace rather a coupling with bearings. It took our GSD 10 minutes to figure out and now he whines to go out an play with it. He will spend hours pawing at it and catching the spurts of water in his mouth. He drags it around the yard, flips it around, and abuses the crud out of it. The spring is somewhere but he love the thing.Because the connection with the device is threaded he can unscrew the hose from the pressure plate. Then water sprays all over the place. Which he thinks is really fun!!Great device ?. Needs a couple refinements bits worth the buy. (We have bought a second one because it?s hours of entertainment).
