Less extension

Yesssss!!!! I like this vs the bungy kinds bc it takes away leash in the car to where my pup isn't able to extend to my driving side

Seatbelt buckle

Use this item in the passenger seat when I have a heavy items sitting in it. That way it keeps the bell from chiming about no seatbelt on passenger side.

Not for an active dog

I gave this three stars because the quality is good. I have a dog that changes positions in the back seat frequently and found that it's too restricting. I clipped the seat belt in the center position. The length I need to keep him comfortable would lose its purpose for safety. Maybe it works for small dogs in a booster, or one that is calm and doesn't move around much, but not for my dog's needs. I don't allow my dog to ride in the front passenger seat which, maybe, would work but not "going there".

Good dog car restraints

Much easier than my current dog restraints. Good sturdy material. Adjustable length is great.

Perfect Length for a Convertible Mustang

Since it’s a convertible, I can’t just loop the leash around the headrest the way I could in other cars. This seat belt works perfectly for what I needed. The back seat area in the Mustang is pretty small, so the length of this tether is actually ideal. It keeps my dog secure without giving her too much room to move around. The clip attaches easily to her harness, and the seat belt connection is simple and solid.Overall, it’s a well-made, straightforward product that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If you have a smaller back seat or a convertible and need a reliable way to secure your dog, this works great.

Great for taking our two dogs in the car backseat...

We ahve two dogs we take to the parks often to walk. These work really well in the backseat of the car..Just have a harness on the dog and clip it...We take our two dogs this way in the back seat...Recommend!!!!!!

Great harness for transporting your dog . . .

Perfect harness allowing me to secure my yorkie mix in the back seat of my car. Hooks into a seat belt holder allowing my dog the ability to move around the the backseat providing for freedom.of movement and controlled restraint at the same time. I only wish I had discovered this harness sooner. I highly recommend this harness if your dog is rambunctious much like my dog.

This is a must!!

My dog loves sticking his head out the window. I was constantly having to hold his leash to keep him from going out to far which also made it hard to drive. This is perfect. I usually put a harness on him so it clips right into the harness or onto their collar and the other end goes into the seatbelt clasp. Super easy to put on. The length is adjustable so I can control just how far he can go. He hasn't tried to chew it but it seems to be good quality and not so easy to chew through. I would highly recommend!!

Life saver

My Cane Corso puppy would climb on me while I drove, this is great and easy to install.

It does meet a need but falls short in it’s purpose.

I love that it stops my vehicle from alerting me that the passenger seat belt isn’t being used when my dog sits in the front seat. I deducted one star because I feel they should offer different lengths. My dog (84 lbs) doesn’t have enough strap to turn around & lay down or stand with his head out the window. I use this strap to keep the vehicle from dinging at me and I use another that I found that goes around the head rest and latches on to my dog that does give him the length he needs to meet his basic needs & still keep him safe. I hope people are smart enough to know not to hook their dog by their neck to any restraint though! Use a harness people!

Winner winner I can have my chicken dinner

Game changer here!!!! I recently adopted a rescue that has a bottomless stomach. I have not learned my lesson on leaving him unattended in the truck with various Starbucks snacks while he roam from back seat to cargo area to front seat to floor to in my bag. I started putting my food in the glove box to keep jaws away, unfortunately a 10 piece chicken nugget box would not fit in said glove box. Thinking I would out smart Kenny, I wrapped the box as tight as I could in the brown bag and stuffed it under the drivers seat to run into Starbucks to pick up my drink to accompany my seven nuggets that were left so I thought. Kenny strikes again! All I had was a torn bag, an open box and a container of honey mustard sauce. Haha, today I used this handy dandy product and homey was on straight lock down. All he can do is sit or lay down. No more helping me drive, or counting calories for me. Oh and it’s safe to have your pet restrained while driving but I am truly thinking about all the missed food due to the roaming pooch.

Check your seatbelt buckles first

Well, I like them and will continue using them... with caveats.Had to jiggle them around a bit to get them to latch. My 3 month old puppy rides in the passenger seat. Granted he's 47 pounds of rottweiler. It will give him enough slack to lay his head in my lap. Not really a bad thing. In the backseat, we have The Engine of Destruction. About 90 pounds of Lab mix.Day 1 latched him up. He spun around, threw his body over the passenger headrest, flipped around again and ended up behind the wheel with his head between the seats.By the time I closed the back door and opened the drivers door, I was greeted by his butt.Ok, he might be considered... excitable... I shortened it to the minimum length after that with some positive results. However, my seatbelt buckles have the release facing up, next to where the buckle goes into the uh... seatbelt latch mechanism. Twice in a visit to the vet, once coming, once returning, he punched the seatbelt release. Then we have a cage match in the car while I'm trying to drive, the dog is down shifting the transmission, trying to get in my lap, slamming down on my arms that are holding the wheel...This is why I rarely take him anywhere in the car.I think these are a great idea. Might work better for a dog that's not acting like he's all coked up.I can't get a whip and a chair in the car, and people would look at me funny at the stoplights.I suggest that the seatbelt latches that release from a button on the side might be a lot more feasible, depending on what insane thing you're going to attach to the other end. I will keep using them for whatever relief they can provide me.Edit: Took the monster up this morning to get his cojones adjusted. Latched both belts to his collar. When the poor little girl came out to get him, he'd only gotten one of them free. That's a qualified win.
