Automatic Pet Water Fountain with Motion Sensor – Dog & Cat

I got this because i wanted a wireless water fountain. But you have to have it plugged in to activate continuous mode otherwise it's only by sensor and the top drains the water out so it looks empty so my cats won't use it.

I got this fountain to use at my summer home where, unfortunately, there is nowhere convenient with an outlet to use my plug-in one from home. It?s nearly identical to the fountain at home except for the rechargeable battery feature. But it cost twice as much as the plug-in and works about half as well! While it does pump the water just fine, if you want the battery to stay charged for several days it must be set on the motion-detector feature which turns on the pump when the cat walks up to get a drink. Apparently the motion sensor isn?t wide enough to sense the cat as she?s drinking from the fountain spigot, so it keeps stopping as she laps. If she moves over a bit, it starts back up. I can see she gets somewhat frustrated trying to get a drink! She?s pretty persistent though.Filters are recommended to be changed ?frequently.? My other fountain specifies ?monthly? but I do it every two weeks. Same with this one. Those filters are pricey!I usually clean the entire unit with hot, soapy water weekly, and replace the water 2-3 times a week. I did find a little bit of slime on one surface last week, so I?ll be doing that more often!I noted that the water is generally cool and clear when I pour it out.The unit is very quiet?you barely notice any sound at all.Overall this is a decent piece but I do like the plug-in one better, simply because it runs 24/7 and the water gets filtered constantly. And Kitty doesn?t get frustrated. ??

I have 2 other old fountains. Both have gotten plenty of use and are deteriorating. My cat doesn't drink a lot of water. She won't eat wet food (just licks it and leaves most of it).. She's 16 years old. I reluctantly ordered this fountain for her. It's super quiet....easy to assemble....and looks easy to clean. What's weird is she didn't even have to investigate it. She just immediately went up and started drinking. She sat there and drank for 5 min's. What is better about this fountain is the height. She doesn't have to bend over to drink... I noticed while she was drinking, she didn't sound like she was taking in a lot of air as she drank like she would on the lower profile fountains.... She didn't drink from the stream, but where the water lands on the stainless she just kept drinking from that. As long as she likes it and drinks lots of water, I don't care.UPDATE: Well it took her a week and I hope the manufacturer sees this. I've solved the problem by placing a had weight strategically on the fountain (outside the water) on the edge up against the wall...Here's what happens: She sticks her paw in the water, and her claw will go inside one of the stainless drain holes and she pulls the top completely off.....If ONLY the lid snapped on or there was a way to secure it. But there isn't. It just sits there on the plastic base. This would almost be perfect if the lid itself snapped on.Update: I ended up putting a small piece of tape on it instead of the weight. I noticed after a week of doing that she didn't bother to try to put her paw in it.........so now it's just as is and doing great. Dude, she LOVES this thing! She drinks MORE water than ever.......she goes to it a lot.......but not so much that there's something wrong with her kidneys or anything. She pee's about 3 Maybe 4 times daily max. I can't believe how much she's taken to this fountain. She just goes up drinks for a bit.........goes away......then comes back 3 min later, drinks more. Other times, she will eat and not bother drinking any. It's so QUIET too and easy to clean. This is the best purchase I have made for her. Cats do NOT drink enough water......Especially the ones who eat dry food. Well, she gets plenty of water in her now. She acts happier too. I brushed her and noticed there was no dry skin.

Im fairly satisfy with this fountain. I just change it (I was using a plastic one) and I love the design. To be clear at the moment of this review I just set it up for my 2 cats (Homer and Freya) so I'll update in a week time. I think that they just need to get used to the sensor thing, the previous one flowed constantly but first day on they started using it. 100 from 10 ! ! ! !. I also like the fact that is wireless and there is no cord to it, having them is a mess , and is also silent !!!

The item appears to be of good quality and works fine. My cat just ignored it. He wanted nothing to do with it.

I have had my original fountain for over a year now. Buy the extra filter and change them every other month. Wash it at least once a week ans rinse the filters. Charge it every couple of weeks. I just moved and want one upstairs and one in the basement, so I got another one.

My cat will not drink from this. It is very quiet and I loved that it was cordless. I just have a very picky cat.

Review of NautyPaws Cat Water Fountain Wireless, 108 OzMy cat loves this fountain and I am pleased. Cat is 14 years young and has hyperthyroidism so I want to be sure she has fresh water that she enjoys drinking. So far I have had it about 5 weeks & only had to charge it once - I use the sensor setting. I check the water level daily to make sure the level is good for the pump to function, and I wash the water container and the top basin every 2-3 days.And quiet - holy moley!! I thought there would be at least a low hum and there is no noise!I took away one star because I wish it had a low-water sensor light instead of just the window.If you have multiple cats, I recommend you get the larger capacity fountain and put the fountain where you can plug it in.

Took our 4 cars 2 or 3 days to get used to it now I think they?re drinking more water. You need to follow the instructions that come with it though.Peace

During battery operation the fountain turns off while kitty is drinking. It only stays on for 7 seconds (I timed it) whereas the instructions say it should stay on for 15 seconds I was so pleased our ckd kitty took to immediately only to be disappointed due to it turning off the second she started drinking. Lame! Sure, the tray still has water, but our cat is a faucet drinker. We have another fountain, but our cat insists on drinking out of the bathtub faucet, so our remedy was going to be to put the fountain in the bathtub.We ended up ordering a version we already have, which is $42.99 (FeelNeedy, it?s called). I should?ve ordered it first but I wanted a smaller/less costly one I could easily lift from the bathtub with my back issues. The NautyPaws would?ve been perfect for that, as the FeelNeedy one is a bit cumbersome for my needs.

Keeps water clean and cats like to watch the water flow from the nozzle. One likes the water from the nozzle and t g e other likes it from the shallow collection bowl. Easy to charge, clean and set up. Window to check the water level. Motion activated so it doesn't run all the time.

I have two 11 year old indoor cats. One of them has had several UTI's due to not drinking enough water, so I decided to try this. They both took to it right away. The stainless steel makes it very easy to clean, I have hard water and as long as I empty it every 4 days, and sponge it out, there is no limescale build-up. The filters are easy to find here, you don't have to buy them from the same seller. I initially started out with the motion sensing choice, but my Maine Coon got her ruff too close and the motion sensor is quite sensitive. So I switched to the every 15 minutes for 15 seconds and that's great. The pump is so quiet it's barely audible.The battery life on the 15/15 is very good too, about a month between recharging. If you want the pump to run continuously you can't use it unplugged. You get the Type C charging cable, but no power brick. Your cell phone brick will do fine.

The first one didn't work. No power. I ordered a replacement. It's PHENOMENAL!!!! I love the fact that it was already charged. There are different modes that are usually found on more expensive models. The stainless steel is very nice. There's also an LED light which is nice. You can see the water level clearly. You have to buy a mains adaptor if you want to plug it into the wall. Very inexpensive. This is also really easy to set up.

The fountain is great! It's quiet, I really like the little light, battery seems to last quite awhile, so I would recommend but depending on your cat they may not be a fan.I have 3 cats and only my black cat so far seems to be using it as intended, my orange kitty is scared of it, and my calico seems to think it's her emotional support fountain and just sleep next to. *shrug*

this is THE BEST ! love the stainless steel over plastic, the sensor setting is so great though it does emit a surprisingly bright purple light when it's dispensing water. easy to clean, sturdy, my cat has fun with it though she seems to play with it more than drink from it but it's way better than a bowl of still water she would ignore.
